Nate Butler At The Silent Movies presents: 4 Shorts for After Halloween!Saturday November 7th 2026 at VISTA Theater, Fresno Music Academy & Arts
1298 N. Wishon Ave. Fresno CA. 93728
(just up the street from the Tower Theater, North of the corner of Olive and Wishon)
Doors open 6:30pm • Cartoons start at 7:00pm • Movies at 8:00pm
ALL AGES WELCOME! • Admission is Pay What You Want.
PLEASE NOTE: This event is not to be confused with a showing of the same program on the back patio of Goldstein’s Mortuary & Delicatessen on Tuesday, October 27th – yes, it’s the same movie(s), but at a different venue, for those who like a craft beer with their Halloween silent movie (and don’t mind sitting outside in the winter cold). That evening at Goldstein’s is a once-a-year Halloween happening.
But you can join host Nate Butler in learning about the history of cinema, and enjoy classic silent films with live piano music, ALWAYS on the 1st Saturday of EVERY month at Fresno Music Academy & Arts!
This November 7th, in honor of Halloween (which will already have past, but it’s still the season), we’ll see four short films with a ‘spooky’ theme, but they’re all comedies, and suitable for children! We’ll start with the earliest version of “Frankenstein,” made by the Thomas Edison Company in 1910 (which, although not a comedy, is unintentionally comical); then we’ll see Buster Keaton in “The Haunted House,” Stan Laurel (of Laurel & Hardy) in “Dr. Pyckle and Mr. Pride” (a parody of “Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde”), and Charlie Bowers in the bizarre “There It Is!” It’ll be fun, you’ll see!
