Healthcare Support Worker Development Morning 2026
Join us for an inspiring and engaging morning dedicated to celebrating and supporting our Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs).
Taking place on Wednesday 30 September 2026 at the Sandford Education Centre, this special event will bring together support workers from nursing, allied health professions and midwifery for a morning of learning, networking and professional development.
The event will feature keynote speakers, inspiring stories from colleagues across the Trust, interactive breakout sessions and opportunities to connect with education providers and development teams. Attendees will hear first-hand experiences from Healthcare Support Workers who are making a difference in patient care and supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.
Breakout sessions will cover a range of topics designed to support both personal and professional development, including:
- Artificial Intelligence in healthcare
- Health misinformation
- Motivational interviewing
- The benefits of pet therapy for patients and staff
- Wellbeing and yoga
There will also be opportunities to learn more about career development pathways, the Healthcare Development Award, research opportunities, the Care Certificate and emerging HCSW roles within the Trust.
All attendees will be entered into a prize draw, which will be held at the end of the event.
