About this Event
Nadun Hetti | LIVE - Directed by Tom Ballard
Nadun Hetti grew up during the Sri Lankan Civil War before moving to Australia as a teenager with a suitcase, an accent, and a lot of unresolved trauma.
Now a RAW Comedy National Finalist and one of Australia’s fastest-rising comedy voices, Nadun turns war, migration, racism, identity, mental health and becoming “Australian enough” into sharp, unapologetically personal stand-up.
Nadun I Flew Here blends fearless storytelling, tight punchlines and dark twists to find the funny in subjects most people avoid at dinner.
Personal, political and painfully funny.
Catch him now, before he blows up... or gets deported.
“Taking over national stereotypes and making them his own” — Chortle
His confidence, generosity and willingness to embrace complexity make for richer comedy.”— Geoffrey Williams, Stage Whispers
