Beyond its original development within substance use and mental-health settings, NADA approach has evolved to have a wide evidence base supporting people experiencing stress and anxiety, cancer care, substance misuse recovery, mental health, menopause, trauma, sleep, migraines and pain.
This training is accessible to all with no prior experience required. Therapists may add it to your current treatment modality and uplevel your skill set.
You’ll learn the five NADA GB 5 point protocol, how to locate active acupoints and know their function. You will explore a range of ear seeds, beads and magnets, their properties and how to safely and confidently use them..
During the training we will cover:
5️⃣ The original NADA GB 5 point protocol - its traditional and modern role and use, taught as Dr Mike Smith intended.
😃How to adapt your current treatment modalities and therapeutic approach using NADA GB to start practicing it right away.
🔎How to locate the acupoints accurately using palpation and scanning for individualised treatment on real ears including Qi Gong.
🦺Safe and hygienic use of ear seeds - and consider when it is safe and not safe to use them.
🌱How to apply, remove and provide aftercare.
✅Evidence base and how the protocol may be practically used within supportive mental-health, wellbeing and recovery settings including cancer care.
🙂The history and principles behind the NADA approach.
🦺Work safely within your own professional role and scope of practice.
🙋🏾Practical demonstrations with group participation and close supervised practice with permission to film Anna's demonstrations for personal use.

About Anna Venables:
Anna is founder of accredited MTAT auricular therapy training college. Anna is an experienced reflexologist and ear acupuncturist of almost 30 years. She is an approved NADA GB Trainer. Anna is former NHS ear acupuncture supervisor for BSMHFT. She is a Specialist SEMH Teacher and combines SEMH frameworks with auricular therapy to support ADHD, mental wellbeing, trauma and anxiety.
