Created by Alexandra “Spicey” Landé, one of the most influential figures in Quebec’s hip hop dance scene and the creator behind Canada’s largest street dance competition, Mōnad is a powerful exploration of movement, sound, culture and connection.
Inspired by the philosophical idea of the Mōnad the smallest, indivisible element containing entire universes within itself Spicey explores the relationship between her body, dance and hip hop culture.
With dynamic musical collaboration from producer and MC Jai Nitai Lotus, bodies, sounds and materials come together, transform and respond to one another in this bold and captivating work.
A vibrant, immersive experience that asks us to consider how everything is connected, and what it means to exist in motion.
