What are the “monsters” we carry within us?Fear, anxiety, self-doubt, anger, craving, and avoidance can quietly shape how we think, react, and relate to others. In Buddhist psychology, these inner obstacles are sometimes represented by **Māra**—a symbol for the habits and emotions that keep us feeling stuck.
Join **Dr. Ujeed** for an engaging talk and workshop exploring how ancient Buddhist insights, meditation, and mind-training practices can help us better understand these patterns and respond to them with greater awareness, courage, and compassion.
Together, we will explore practical ways to:
- Recognize the thoughts and habits that intensify fear
- Work with difficult emotions without suppressing them
- Respond to uncertainty with greater clarity
- Develop a healthier relationship with anxiety and self-doubt
- Bring more awareness and compassion into everyday life
Dr. Ujeed will draw from her recent translation of a traditional text by Patrul Rinpoche while presenting the teachings in a practical and accessible way for modern life.
This event is open to everyone—whether you are an experienced meditator, completely new to meditation, interested in psychology and personal growth, or simply curious about how to work more skillfully with your mind.
No Buddhist background or meditation experience is required.
