About the show:
Indie/Soul singer Myra Flynn calls herself a 'songwriter on purpose and a singer by accident.' With a history as both a long-form podcaster for NPR and a 20-year touring musician, she believes songs are stories and stories are songs, and delivers a powerful set of honest vocals and lyrics that doesn't let one get too comfortable.
Myra is a lyrical storyteller, who uses her voice to empower, inspire, and even educate. She fearlessly tackles topics that others shy away from in both her music and in her journalism career. She says that motherhood has left her no more time to be self conscious and there is no room for shyness. She finds a new strength, independence and inspiration in her daughter, Avalon, and her husband Phil. Myra is a singer, songwriter, journalist, advocate, ally, mother, wife - and always, unapologetically, human.

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.
Complimentary wine tasting from 5:30 to 6:00. The Loft Doors open at 6:00 for dinner. We encourage you to arrive early for our wine tasting and enjoy food and wine before the show. The kitchen will close at 7:00 pm. When the featured artists takes the stage we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
