Class Goal:
Deliver content to technicians to increase their service department revenue through additional offerings; suspension service, dropper service, brake bleeds, AXS installations and troubleshooting. STUdents will learn to complete these services in an efficient manner to a high standard and leave STU with the confidence to implement these services in their retail environment.
What the STUdent will take away:
- XPLR drivetrain setup and troubleshooting
The gravel market has exploded in recent years and SRAM have pushed forward with advances and innovations. 1x13 is our gravel standard will full mount resilience and best shift underload, we will cover this range in detail with set up and trouble shooting tips.
- SRAM Road AXS Install and Setup
Technicians will learn proper installation of eTap AXS system, specifically focusing on proper front derailleur setup including the tools on offer to make it quicker and easier.
- Annual brake bleed service on DOT Fluid brake systems
Technicians will learn how to properly bleed a SRAM brake in a repeatable and efficient fashion, using the correct tools and fluid to deliver a high-quality profitable service at retail.
· Zipp wheel overview
We will deep dive into our wheel range, the different models, freehubs and rims, as well as looking at how to service them and how our wheel sensors work
· Rim and tyre compatibility
Our wheels are designed to work best with certain tyres and size ranges, we have some handy tools to make identifying these easier for retailers and riders.
- Understanding proper tool use and torque
Technicians will continue their learning of proper tool use, the use of proper torque, and what happens if torque specification is not adhered to in services.
This is a practical, hands on course with a dedicated SRAM/RockShox trainer to support you.
Lunch, snacks and drinks including tea and coffee are provided within the cost of the course.
