Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish are outstanding songwriters and singers individually, who between them have worked with such diverse artists as Nick Cave, Bryan Ferry, The Brodsky Quartet, Steve Earle, Nils Lofgren, Ron Sexsmith and Graham Parker, but together they create harmonious magic and are a formidable musical forceSince coming together in 2011 they have released six albums, and won numerous awards in the UK, Scandinavia and N. America. Their songs have been covered by more than 50 different artists and featured in various films and TV shows. Lou’s song No Matter What Tammy Said was placed in the top 25 country songs of the 21st Century by Country Music People magazine, while Michael’s song Riding The Range was recorded by the late, great Townes Van Zandt
The current My Darling Clementine live show is split into two halves. Firstly a trip through their extensive back-catalogue, including songs from their 2021 album Country Darkness, a collection of Elvis Costello songs re-interpreted for duet, made in collaboration with Steve Nieve.
And secondly a set showcasing songs from their new solo albums, Michael’s widely acclaimed Nothing Can Hurt Me Anymore and Lou’s forthcoming solo album The Leaving And The Left Behind.
Both albums draw heavily on the tragedy of losing their granddaughter during the Southport attacks in July 2023.
"Nothing Can Hurt Me Anymore is a beautiful, complex piece of work, and the fact that it emerged from such terrible circumstances and unimaginable sadness makes it all the more remarkable." Elvis Costello
