About this Event
Join the MWBA volunteer team for a fun day of trail stewardship on Strawberry Peak!
We're back! This month, MWBA is brushing up the Strawberry Peak Trail from Red Box up as far as we can go. This is bike or hike-in volunteer day.
Parking is at Red Box for sign in and a safety briefing. Parking is extremely limited - if you have one make sure to bring your Adventure Pass but also please consider carpooling with fellow volunteers from Flanders Road in La Canada. The carpool group will depart at 7:30am sharp and drive to Red Box. Hike or bike up to where we'll be working; there's work to do all along the trail. Please bring a camp or beach chair so you're comfortable at lunch after we're done working.
As always, no trail work experience is necessary to join us on trail! We will provide the tools and guidance for a fun, safe, and productive day in the forest.
Please bring the following in preparation for a successful day out on the trail:
- Trail work clothing: long sleeve shirt, long pants, sturdy shoes, eye protection are required.
- A hydration pack or backpack able to carry water and snacks while working on the trail.
- Water and snacks to keep you feeling good for 5-6 hours in the sun
- A camp or beach chair for lunch after trail work
If its your first time joining us, or not sure what to expect, check out our link below:
Please RSVP by obtaining a ticket via EventBrite. This will help us keep track of headcount, and make sure we have LUNCH for all!
Please note: There is no cell service at Red Box or at any point along the trail. Please be sure to download driving directions prior if you expect to need them.
