We are delighted to invite you to Mole Valley Chamber's monthly networking breakfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and gain valuable insights from our inspiring attendees.

Every business meets customers who are quietly struggling, whether that's with debt, mental health, or a difficult life event. Knowing how to recognise it and respond well can make a real difference, and that's the focus of October's Mole Valley Chamber networking breakfast.

Our speaker, of , has worked in insolvency since 1994. He set up his first practice in 2010, sold it in late 2019, and founded RBW in 2020, which is currently finalising a merger with a firm of similar size. Tony specialises in personal insolvency and antecedent transactions, and brings decades of real world experience to this session.

Tony will open with a short explanation of what an insolvency practitioner actually does, before moving into the main topic of the morning: dealing with vulnerable clients and the personal debt options available to them. He'll cover two practical frameworks, CARE and TEXAS, for recognising vulnerability and handling a disclosure well. He'll also explain the Breathing Space Scheme and run through the range of personal debt options, from informal agreements and debt management plans through to Debt Relief Orders, Individual Voluntary Arrangements and bankruptcy.

Whether you run a retail business, a professional practice, or anything in between, this session will leave you better equipped to support customers, clients, employees or contacts who are going through a hard time.

As always, the morning includes plenty of time to connect with other members over a full breakfast before the talk begins.

Info: This is where you'll be welcomed as you step into the venue by chamber staff. Once you are settled in you'll have the chance to mingle and make connections with other businesses and organisations. It is always relaxed and friendly, everyone is welcome.

Info: Now we have one-minute rounds where you can showcase your business and find out what others in the room do. If you've not done a one minute round (or 60 seconds) before, no need to worry, we will help you.

Info: This is where our guest speaker has a chance to address the breakfast attendees with a subject of their choice. We always aim to either educate, motivate and inspire during these talks. We often have speakers talk on their specialist area, talking about perhaps challenges they have had in business or giving advice that benefits at all. We also regularly have inspirational speakers who have a story to tell, it might be about their life or about their career, or of course, both!

Info: Once the speaker is finished there is time for questions. This is then followed by more networking before closing the meeting at 9:30 am. An attendee list is emailed with contact details giving them the opportunity to connect and follow up with 1-2-1s with the people they have met at the breakfast networking.
