Musick for Severall Friends : Chamber Music from the Baroque Era

We've created this program to explore the entire 150 years of the Baroque era, from the quirky compositions of Tobias Hume, a professional soldier whose 1605 collection of Musicall Humours explores new territory for the viol, to the elegant Trios composed by Jean-Baptiste Lully for the chamber of the King. It's an afternoon of music meant to be performed by friends, for friends, to amuse, refresh, and relax.
