Description:Take your musical theatre audition from good to great.
Join our education committee, Sarah Evans Mayo, Todd Michael Cook, and Daniel Coe Olsson, for a two-part workshop hosted by Peoria Players Theatre. Whether you're auditioning for the first time or want to sharpen years of experience, this workshop meets you where you are. This is a two-part series, and attendees are expected to attend both sessions.
🎭 Session 1 - Sunday, Nov 15, 6:30-8:00 PM
Audition skills, the do's and don'ts, and how to present yourself in the room, followed by your first mock audition in a judgment-free zone. We'll close with a session on building your audition binder, choosing repertoire, and preparing your music.
🎭 Session 2 - Sunday, Nov 22, 6:30-8:00 PM
Builds directly on Session 1. Put your feedback to work in a second mock audition, then get private, personalized feedback from a small panel of Peoria-area directors.
If you have music, bring 2 32-bar cuts from musical theatre in contrasting styles. New to audition repertoire? No problem - we'll help you build material during the workshop.
Open to any adult, and to actors in high school or above, at every experience level.
