Calling all guitar enthusiasts and fans of '60s rock: our Fall Musical Sundays Series continues with soloist Sean Fullerton performing "RIC 12: The Guitar of Jangle Rock" on Sunday, October 25 at 3:00pm. Registration is required for all the shows in the Musical Sundays Concert Series and are supported by the Library Endowment Fund. Most performances will begin at 3:00pm.This program is dedicated to the Rickenbacker brand electric 12-String guitar, which quickly became the iconic guitar sound of the 1960’s Folk Rock movement. The “RIC 12” was first introduced by The Beatles in the “A Hard Day’s Night” album in 1964, and popularized by The Byrds in 1965. Since then, the “RIC 12” has been the central sound and influence of countless radio hits through the 1990’s. Sean's music program will be an hour long trip down memory lane with classic sing-a-long songs from The Beatles, The Who, Beach Boys, Byrds, Animals, Monkees, Doors, Traveling Wilburys, and more...with Sean singing and playing the “RIC 12” guitar, while supported by his own backing tracks - a full band sound at a comfortable volume for everyone's entertainment. Enjoy informational and humorous talking points about the sound, look, and influence of the “RIC 12” throughout the program. Audience participation is always welcome and encouraged.
