At Te Korokoro o te Tūī / School of Performing ArtsJoin us to hear from Australian media and cultural studies academic, Assoc Prof Shane Homan (Monash University) on the 'live ecosystem' and the intersection of music venues, cultural policy and neoliberal market capitalism.
Shane is an expert on live music scenes and the culture industries. His academic work is significant, as well as his role as an Advisor and contributor to cultural policy in Australia including being a part of the NSW Live Music Taskforce, the Victoria Live Music Roundtable and the Music Council of Australia.
This research talk is part of the BEHIND THE MUSIC Symposium led by School of Performing Arts, the Sociology, Gender Studies and Criminology Programme, and Media, Film and Communications.
