The Quartet, founded in 2009, has established itself as a vibrant presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, recognized for compelling, thoughtful, and engaging performances. Music critic Christine Facciolo praised the ensemble, noting that “balance, superb intonation, and sensitive interpretation characterized their performance.
____________
About Mosaic String Duo:
A spirited and eclectic ensemble that incorporates musical influences from flamenco, middle eastern, classical, and rock genres. Infectious rhythms and exotic harmonies, combined with instrumental virtuosity, complete Mosaic’s signature sound. Christopher Braddock (guitar, oud and mandolin) and Douglas Seth (classical and flamenco guitars) bring it to life with sophisticated compositions, free form, improvisational style, and technical precision.
____________
About Giampiero Bugliarello
Giampiero Bugliarello presents a range of influences, including Beethoven and Liszt, with an occasional touch of 20th-century-style modernity in the Rachmaninoff vein” (Soundwordsight journal).
Mr. Bugliarello took his first steps toward music at the age of four, playing the family piano and learning by ear. Soon after, under the guidance of Ketty Teriaca, he began formal study of the instrument. With Alberto Alibrandi, he undertook the study of music theory and jazz, and at the age of eleven, he joined the class of Carmelo Pappalardo at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania, where he graduated with the highest honors. Twice a recipient of a full scholarship, he earned a master’s degree and a doctorate at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., under the guidance of Nikita Fitenko. At the same institution, he was appointed ad honorem visiting scholar to research Latin American art music, with several articles published by Naxos. He also published his original compositions Ballata and Fantasia with DaVinci Editions. Today, he is a piano instructor at The Music School of Delaware.
Mr. Bugliarello participated in the fifteenth edition of the Trecastagni International Music Festival, and his concert activity includes performances at the Wiener Saal, Ward Recital Hall, Hartke Theater, Heritage Hall, Art Barns, Covington Center for the Performing Arts in Radford, Lyon College, the New River Valley Fine Arts Center, the University Club of New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and Carnegie Hall in New York.
In 2021, he was appointed a goodwill ambassador by the Arkansas Secretary of State and received a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services visa for individuals with extraordinary ability.
