Music on the Brain
A Change in Mind
How can a small change in our underlying instructions transform the way we experience the world?
Neuroscientist of Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute explores how subtle genetic changes can alter neural wiring and perception in schizophrenia, revealing how shifts at the smallest level can reshape the mind.
Acclaimed pianist and vocalist brings these ideas to life through live jazz, exploring the musical concept of “variation on a theme.” Together, Kelly and Julie examine the connections between variation, perception and creativity—and what they can reveal about the human experience.
