About this Event
The story behind ten album covers of the 1970’s
In the 1970’s the predominant way to listen to music was the 12 inch vinyl record. Each album was presented in a unique cover which was used as a canvass for the band to represent their music, style, aspirations, political views or just to promote themselves. This talk looks at ten album covers from the 1970’s which, depending on your age, you may or may not have owned yourself. But they all have a story to tell.
We're very happy that Barrie Cressey has agreed to deliver his series of talks at Temperance. Each talk is accompanied by visuals and relevant bits of music, and the afternoon concludes with a short question and answer session. An hour or so of excellent education and entertainment down in the cellar!
Talks begin at 2.30 sharp so please get here in time to get your drinks (and cake) and settle in for a fascinating session.
