Marilynn Mair, mandolin, & Enigmatica – A Plucked String Ensemble, will perform music from Bach to Brazil and music from their new CDs, at the Mary Tefft White Cultural Center, in the University Library of Roger Williams University, One Old Ferry Road, Bristol, Rhode Island.
Marilynn Mair is internationally known for her concerts and recordings, and has directed Enigmatica since 2000. Dubbed the "First Lady of the American Mandolin," she has released over two dozen recordings, and has published her compositions and articles in books and magazines distributed worldwide.
Admission to the concert is free, but seating is limited. No tickets, no reservations. This event is part of the American Mandolin & Guitar Summer School, held annually on the campus of Roger Williams University, that attracts adult students from across the country.
