Join the Old Governor's Mansion on Sunday, November 1st at 4:00 pm for an afternoon of saxophone quartet music featuring Quartetto Obrigado. Formed in 2013 and based right here in Louisiana, the quartet - Dr. Griffin Campbell, Dr. Taylor Assad, Jennifer C. Foret, and Brina Bourliea Faciane, brings a wealth of international performance experience and a deep commitment to contemporary music to this special program. Their repertoire will feature works by Eugene Bozza, Alfred Desenclos, Paul Hayden, F. and M. Jeanjean, and Jean Françaix, showcasing the rich color and versatility of the saxophone quartet tradition. Admission is free, parking is free, and since this falls on our regular Free First Sunday, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to tour the Mansion from 12-4 pm before staying for the performance at 4 pm. A reception will follow the concert, so bring your family and friends for an afternoon of exploration, music, and community. We can't wait to see you there!
