A Mighty Fortress is Our God- Early Lutheran MusicNovember 15, 2026, 3:00 pm, St. Lorenz Sanctuary at 1030 W. Tuscola Road
Join us as Echoing Air presents an inspiring concert celebrating the music of late 16th to early 18th-century Lutheran composers. Dedicated to exploring sacred vocal music with period Baroque instruments—typically featuring countertenors, recorders, and basso continuo—the ensemble brings to life the works of Heinrich Schütz, Johann Hermann Schein, Dieterich Buxtehude, Vincent Lübeck, and more. This Ein Feste Burg program vividly portrays the heart of Lutheran tradition: forging a personal connection with God through expressive sacred music in the German vernacular.
All Music at St. Lorenz events are free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be collected to support the music ministry program.
