In this event, the Ghanaian band Amamere will perform music created as part of the research project Multiple Waterscapes in Urban Ghana.Rather than presenting music as a result of research, the event explores music as a method of knowledge production. The musicians were directly involved in collecting material in the research sites, participated in collaborative workshops with young musicians, and co‑created songs that reflect everyday experiences of water, environment, and urban life.
Through live performance, discussion, and reflection on lyrics, languages, and musical heritage, the band will share how music can generate forms of knowledge that are difficult to access through conventional academic methods.
