About this Event
Join us for a Cyanotype Workshop + Mushroom Walk experience! We will start out by gathering mushrooms and other natural materials, then use them to create stunning cyanotype prints on pre-primed paper.All materials are provided, and you’ll be guided through the entire process, from exposure to developing your prints, plus learn how to mix your own solutions for future projects. If weather conditions aren’t ideal, you’ll still take everything home along with step-by-step instructions to complete your prints at your own pace.
We will meet at 10am at the County Road entrance to Paradise Park in Windsor, VT. This entrance doesn’t have a street address, but can be located here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/FVYcLZKMwHdRfQvX7 or by the following GPS Coordinates: 43°29'09.1"N, 72°24'02.1"W. Please note that there are no bathrooms available at this location. The closest public bathroom is 1.2 miles away at the Cumberland Farms on Main St, Windsor, VT.
We will stick around the entrance for 10-15 minutes before we start walking and will be on the trails for about an hour, then we will start making our cyanotypes.
Please bring water and dress for hiking, keeping in mind that we will be walking off-trail and there are ticks.
Most trails are accessible to those with limited mobility.
You are welcome to bring a bag lunch and eat with us after the workshop.
