We hope you will join us for a free tour of the newly opened Museum of Utah on October 1st! The temporary exhibit "The Past is Personal" is especially pertinent to genealogists. This exhibit urges visitors to consider their role in our nation's history as we mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Explore concepts of commemoration and community through the lenses of remembering and perspective, and make connections to both the past, and the people around you.
Drawing upon the Utah Historical Society semiquincentennial project, the Peoples of Utah Revisited, this exhibit broadens the lens on Utah's history and shares the stories of the past through the present.
You don't have to be a member of the UGA to enjoy the tour! Come to 450 North State Street, Salt Lake City, by 10:00 am MDT on October 1st, 2026.
