African diasporic dance encompasses the diverse range of dances and dance traditions that originated from Africa and were carried, adapted, and transformed by people of African descent throughout the diaspora. It reflects the cultural heritage of the African diaspora, incorporating traditional African practices and influences from various indigenous and European cultures across the globe. These dances serve as powerful storytelling mediums, preserving cultural narratives, history, and traditions.
