Get maths ideas and inspiration to take back to school and use in any of your outdoor spaces.
Led by Phil Lowde, from Bear and Lapor, this day long workshop investigates ways to brin maths to the outdoors. Learn different uses for natural materils and ways to use simple equipment in delivering maths games and activities in wooded areas, on playing fields or the playground itself.
Please note: the course includes both outdoor and indoor sessions so please bring suitable clothing and footwear.
Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring your own packed lunch. The site is nut free.
This course is funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and is free to attend.
Directions: The course takes place in the Bee Pavilion at the Great Yorkshire Event Centre on the Great Yorkshire Showground.
Come in along Railway Road and follow the perimeter road up to the top of the Showground. The Education Centre is signposted on green signs along this road. Entry is through the Education Gate. The Showground is a large site so please do not turn off into any of the other gates.
The Great Yorkshire Event Centre is the closest location to the Bee Pavilion on site with a What 3 Words identification - flows.desire.buzz
