Trail Character: Mossy Forest – Grassland – Summit
MOSSY FOREST 🌿
A cool, misty, and scenic forest section characterized by moss-covered trees, ferns, lichens, and dense mountain vegetation. Expect shaded trails, uneven terrain, exposed roots, and potentially slippery sections, especially during wet conditions.
GRASSLAND 🌾
As runners ascend, the trail opens into the famous Mt. Pulag grassland. This section features wide-open rolling terrain, dwarf bamboo, cool mountain winds, and panoramic Cordillera views. The transition from forest to open grassland marks the approach to the higher elevations.
SUMMIT ⛰️
The final ascent leads to the Mt. Pulag Summit at approximately 2,922 MASL, the highest peak in Luzon. The summit area is dominated by grassland and dwarf bamboo, offering expansive views and the possibility of experiencing the iconic sea of clouds under favorable weather conditions.
