This 2.4-mile paved trail is the longest and most accessible route in Mt. Tabor Park, leading to the summit with breathtaking views of Portland’s skyline and, on clear days, Mount Hood and Mount St. Helens. The trail features smooth asphalt, typically 4-8 feet wide with wider passing spaces, and partial edge barriers for safety. Most sections have a gentle grade (5% or less), but there are steeper spots at approximately 0.1, 0.7-0.8, and 1.6 miles (when going clockwise) that may require assistance for manual wheelchair users. The trail passes by historic reservoirs, picnic areas, and public art, with wheelchair-accessible restrooms and a visitor center near the north end off Southeast Salmon Way.
