Day 2 – Sydney to Home | Art, Scenic Beauty & Country Charm
Monday 10 May 2027
After a wonderful evening of laughter and entertainment at Mrs Doubtfire – The Musical, we wake refreshed and ready for another lovely day of sightseeing as we make our way home.
Following a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we'll check out and board our comfortable Port Bus coach, with a planned departure of 8:45am (time to be confirmed). Sit back and relax as we farewell the hustle and bustle of Sydney and head north towards the beautiful Central Coast.
Our first stop today is the renowned Ken Duncan Gallery, where we'll have the opportunity to admire the extraordinary work of one of Australia's most celebrated landscape photographers. Known for his breathtaking panoramic images, Ken Duncan has captured some of the country's most spectacular scenery, from rugged coastlines and dramatic mountain ranges to peaceful countryside and stunning outback landscapes.
Take your time wandering through the gallery, appreciating the incredible colours, detail and beauty of his photography. It's a wonderful opportunity to see Australia through the eyes of a talented photographer and perhaps discover a favourite image to take home as a special reminder of your travels.
After exploring the gallery, we'll make our way next door to Kew Dining for a relaxing morning tea. Enjoy a cuppa and something delicious while catching up with fellow travellers and sharing a few laughs about last night's fabulous performance. It's the perfect way to ease into our journey home.
With everyone refreshed, we continue north along the Pacific Highway, enjoying the changing scenery as we leave the Central Coast behind.
Our next stop is the charming country town of Bulahdelah, where we'll enjoy lunch at the welcoming Plough Inn. There's nothing quite like a good country pub meal, and this historic local favourite offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicious lunch and some friendly conversation.
With full tummies and happy hearts, we rejoin the coach for the final leg of our journey home. It's time to sit back, relax and reflect on our wonderful two-day escape, from the hilarious antics of Mrs Doubtfire at Sydney's Capitol Theatre to the magnificent photography of Ken Duncan and the lovely food and company we've enjoyed along the way.
