Speaker: Mr M. John Drakeley
Title: Wanderings of a retired Cardiothoracic Surgeon: global wildlife photography
M. John Drakeley FRCS, worked at the Broadgreen Hospital Cardiothoracic unit, latterly Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, as a Consultant Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with an interest in lung cancer from 1977 to 2003.
He maintains a lifelong interest in wildlife and photography, especially ornithology. He has an extensive knowledge of bird art and books. After retiring from clinical practice, John travelled extensively on organised wildlife photography trips to all corners of the globe, including: Africa; Australia; South America; Northern Europe; the Arctic; Eastern Europe; North America; the Caribbean, whilst not forgetting the UK.
He will share experiences and photographs of birds, animals, fish and plants.
