About this Event
United Voices Choir, with professional orchestra and soloists, presents two of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most beloved sacred works.
The Requiem (1791) is one of the most powerful and enduring masterpieces ever written. For centuries it has captivated audiences with its dramatic intensity, emotional depth and breathtaking beauty. From the thunderous Dies Irae to the exquisite Lacrimosa, this extraordinary music speaks directly to the heart, inspiring awe, reflection and hope.
Written more than a decade earlier, Mozart’s radiant Coronation Mass (1779) reveals another side of the composer’s genius, and overflows with graceful melodies and joyful energy.
Performed by the 60-voice choir, orchestra, and four outstanding soloists, this concert promises an inspiring program of music that continues to move and uplift audiences more than two centuries after it was written.
Tickets: Adults $34; Youth (18 and under) $15
United Voices Choir gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Province of British Columbia.
