Brazilian rhythm. Deep funk. No half measures.São Paulo-born bassist and composer Moyses Dos Santos has spent years moving between jazz, soul and the sharp end of the live circuit, playing with Janelle Monáe, Gregory Porter, Omar and Nile Rodgers.
His 2026 debut Maria turns back towards Brazil, pulling maracatu, baião, samba and frevo into the London sound he has made his own, with Arthur Verocai, Theo Croker and Lynda Dawn among the collaborators.
For his Blue Note debut, Moyses takes over the stage with his own band, music from Maria and a who’s who of special guests from across his musical world.
