CONTROL — WORLD PREMIERE
An Independent Psychological Thriller | A Blackexistence Films Production
Love can be intoxicating. Obsession can be terrifying.
Join us for the world premiere of CONTROL, an intense psychological thriller written and directed by Wisny Dorce, founder of Blackexistence Films LLC.
Set in the unsettling territory between love and obsession, CONTROL explores the darker side of emotional dependency and what happens when affection becomes manipulation, intimacy becomes possession, and the desire to control another person begins to destroy everything around them.
This is more than a film screening. It is a celebration of independent filmmaking, Detroit's creative talent, and the power of diverse voices to bring compelling stories to the screen.
A Film Created in Detroit
Filmed in Detroit, Michigan, CONTROL brings together a diverse community of local talent, including approximately 100 Detroit-area actors and performers throughout the production, alongside a crew composed of Detroit-based filmmaking professionals.
The film reflects the collaborative spirit of Detroit's independent film community and demonstrates what can be achieved when passionate artists come together around a shared creative vision.
At the center of this production is Wisny Dorce, a Haitian-born filmmaker raised in Argentina who later established his career in the United States. Drawing on his international background and cinematic perspective, Dorce originally developed the screenplay in Spanish before adapting it into English for production.
His journey brings a distinctive cross-cultural perspective to a story that examines relationships, psychological tension, power, and human vulnerability.
Produced through Blackexistence Films LLC, CONTROL represents an independent filmmaking vision built on creative ambition, collaboration, and a commitment to telling stories that engage audiences.
