You're not suppose to figure out labor alone .Bring your partner and learn to breathe, move, and push through birth together!About this Event
You've read the books. You've watched the videos. And part of you is still wondering, "Will I actually know what to do when it's time?"
And your partner? They want to help so badly, but they're not sure how. So they'll probably end up standing by the bed asking "Are you okay?" while you're in the middle of a contraction.
This workshop changes that.
Move With Purpose is a 90-minute, hands-on experience for you and your birth partner on Saturday, October 24, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Soleil Movement Studio in Dayton. Whether your partner is your husband, your partner, your mom, your sister, or your best friend, they'll leave knowing exactly how to support you. And you'll leave feeling calmer, more connected, and more confident in what your body was built to do.
Led by two pelvic floor specialists, Dr. LeeLee, a pelvic floor physical therapist, prenatal yoga instructor and doula, and Cherra Kay, a pelvic floor occupational therapist with a speciality in prenatal and postnatal training. This isn't a lecture where you sit and take notes. You'll be moving, breathing, laughing, and practicing together the whole time, with two experts who know the pregnant body inside and out.
Here's what you'll walk away with:
You'll learn evidence-based comfort tools you can actually use in the delivery room, including hip squeezes, sacral counterpressure, belly lifts with a sheet, supported squats, and positions that help baby find their way through your pelvis. Your partner won't just watch; they'll practice on you, so it's second nature by the time labor starts.
You'll learn the breath that carries you through contractions, the same calming breath that tells your nervous system "I'm safe," so you can stay grounded instead of tensing up.
You'll learn how to push with your body instead of against it. You'll learn how your pelvic floor lifts and lengthens, how to coordinate your breath with your push, and positions that help lower your risk of tearing. Most people never learn this before birth. You will.
You'll also release fear and build trust together, through guided meditation, affirmations, and a deeply relaxing pregnancy yoga nidra. You'll speak words to each other that you may not have said out loud yet, and you'll leave feeling seen, supported, and ready.
And yes, there will be a slow dance. 😉
Your ticket covers you and your birth partner, plus a pregnancy yoga ball to take home, the same one you'll practice with during the workshop, so you can keep using these tools all the way to delivery day. Mocktails and light bites are included too.
All levels are welcome. No yoga experience is needed. Just wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring your person.
Labor is hard work. But it can feel very different when you know what to do, and you know you're not doing it alone.
This workshop is limited to just 8 couples so every pair gets hands-on guidance and real attention. The first 3 couples get in for $55. After that, it's $65 per couple. Every couple goes home with their own pregnancy yoga ball. Grab your spot before they're gone.
