Move What Matters: Building Leadership Systems That Move Schools Forward

A two-day leadership experience to build the teams, systems, habits, and capacity that move your school forward.
About this Event

Great schools don't move forward because one leader does everything. They move forward when people, priorities, and systems work together.

Move What Matters is a two-day immersive experience where school leaders step away from the day-to-day to intentionally design how leadership happens on their campus.

You'll clarify what matters most, examine how your time and leadership capacity are being used, and build an interconnected system around four essential teams: Administrative Leadership, Teacher Leadership, Behavior & Intervention, and Student Leadership.

You won't leave with another binder of ideas. You'll leave with your own Connected Campus Leadership Blueprint—a practical plan for how people, teams, time, and systems will move your school's priorities forward.

Through practical learning, real school examples, reflection, collaboration with other leaders, and dedicated design time, you'll move from ideas to an actionable plan built specifically for your campus.

You won't spend two days just sitting and listening. You'll build while you're here.

WHAT WE'LL EXPLORE

What matters?
Clarify the culture you're trying to create and the few priorities that will move your school toward it.

Who moves it?
Examine how to leverage the people already on your campus and distribute meaningful ownership rather than allowing the work to continually return to the principal.

How does the work happen?
Build clear roles, systems, team structures, communication practices, and rhythms that keep priorities moving.

How do you create capacity?
Rethink how you use your time, relationships, habits, and leadership practices so your attention stays focused on what matters most.

What happens when you return?
Turn your learning into action through a practical 30/60/90-day implementation plan.

BUILD YOUR CONNECTED CAMPUS LEADERSHIP BLUEPRINT

You won't leave with another binder of ideas. You'll leave with a blueprint for how the work will actually happen at your school.

During the two days, you'll develop a personalized Connected Campus Leadership Blueprint, including:

• Your clearly defined campus culture and priorities
• A current-state and future-state Leadership Web
• Administrative Leadership Team Blueprint
• Teacher Leadership Team Blueprint
• Behavior & Intervention Team Blueprint
• Student Leadership Team Blueprint
• Clearer roles, ownership, and responsibilities
• Meeting and communication rhythms
• Strategies for protecting leadership time and capacity
• Personal leadership habits and relationship practices
• A 30/60/90-day implementation plan
• Your first actions when you return to campus

THIS ISN'T A CONFERENCE

No rushing from session to session. No six hours of sitting while someone talks at you. No leaving with dozens of ideas and no plan for implementing them.

Move What Matters is intentionally designed as a leadership experience.

You'll learn. You'll reflect. You'll talk with leaders facing similar challenges. You'll examine your actual school. You'll build. You'll get feedback. You'll revise.

Just as importantly, you'll be given the time, space, meals, materials, and environment necessary to step away from the daily demands of school leadership and actually think about how you want leadership to happen at your school.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Move What Matters is designed primarily for principals and assistant principals and is also valuable for district leaders, counselors and MTSS leaders, teacher leaders, aspiring administrators, and school leadership teams who want to build stronger systems for distributed leadership and school improvement.

Come individually—or bring your team.
