💗 A free Accessible Retreat in Paddock Wood 💗When we applied for funding for this day, we wanted to create the kind of event that so many people living with long-term health conditions and disabilities are usually excluded from.
Many wellbeing days and retreats are expensive, physically demanding or simply not designed for people living with pain, fatigue, limited mobility, fluctuating symptoms or anxiety about joining in.
We wanted to do things differently and Involve Kent funding has made it possible.
On Saturday 31 October, we are holding a completely free Accessible Retreat at Paddock Wood Community Centre.
The day will include:
💗 Gentle, adapted taster movement sessions
💗 Yummy dinner
💗 Support throughout
💗 Taught by teachers with living experience
💗 Plenty of breaks, drinks and time to settle in
Everything will be adaptable, and there will never be any pressure to keep up or take part in every activity. You can join in from a chair, watch, rest, take a break or step out whenever you need to.
Nobody will be expected to explain their health, and our volunteer buddies will be there to offer a friendly welcome and support throughout the day.
This funded event has been created for people living in West Kent who have long-term health conditions or disabilities and who may also face financial barriers to accessing exercise or wellbeing activities.

If you are wondering whether this day is for you, please get in touch. You do not need to be fit, confident or already exercising. The whole point is to create a space where you can arrive exactly as you are.
