McLean County History Museum's Senior Director of Education, Candace Summers, will speak about her new book which explores the many facets of death, mourning, and remembrance from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century in McLean County.
Summers's book "Mourning in McLean: The Story of Death, Grieving, and Funerary Customs in McLean County" shares life stories from our past, information about mourning rituals and superstitions, burial practices, monument makers, famous McLean County funerals, and features items from the Museum's collections.
Books will be available for purchase and can be signed by the author.
