We are starting our “off motorcycle riding season” with our first Motor Mayhem for Street Angels and Hunger Task Force. We will have raffle items and our wheel spin to win some great prizes. Founded in 2016, Street Angels is a mobile outreach organization dedicated to assisting individuals in ending their unsheltered homelessness by providing dignified services, advocacy, a consistent support system, connections to critical resources, and hope. Their compassionate staff and volunteers travel directly to those who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness in Milwaukee County to provide assistance in meeting immediate basic needs and long-term solutions. They are currently providing boots-on-the-ground programming five days a week through their Mobile Outreach and Showers of Hope programs.
Below is a list of items you can donate and we will make sure Street Angels get the donations.
Fall/Winter: Gloves Winter, jackets/coats, Winter boots, Hand Foot/Body Warmers, Thermal tops, Thermal bottoms, Sweatshirts & Hoodies, Hats, Snowpants
Hygiene Items: Body wipes, Deodorant (travel-size), Toilet paper, Foot powder (travel-size), Shampoo (travel-size), Conditioner (travel-size), Lotion (travel-size), Shaving cream (travel-size), Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Floss, Mouthwash (alcohol-free), Hand Sanitizer.
Harbor Room will also be starting their food donation for Hunger Task Force, donate to either organization and receive a free shot! So come down and help raise funds for two local charities, if you don’t want to get into the raffles, spin the wheel or bring in donations, you can always make a donation!
