Anna Penner (@somequeerreads): Anna is Toronto-based comedian and producer, a parent of many, and a former member of the Manitoba Ferret Owners Association. Their comedy blends sharp observations with a conversational style, as they find the laughs in sexuality, gender, parenting, and day-to-day life.
Kristin Doucet (@kristindoucet): Armed with sharp wit, zero shame and no f&*%ks left to give, Kristin draws on life as a daughter of aging parents, a sometimes-good wife, and a not-half-bad mom to two teenagers. Kristin mines the chaos of menopause, marriage, motherhood and the mundane into hilarious storytelling with a self-depracting approach that would make Joan Rivers proud.
Together, Anna and Kristin are two parents trying to make it in the world of comedy and parenting. Exhausted and questioning their life choices, they tackle every stage, from the terrible twos to the turbulent teens. Featuring a lineup of comedians who are parents themselves, this show delivers brutally honest, laugh-until-you-cry stories from the parenting trenches.
