TALENTBANQ Presents Motel Sundown LIVE at the legendary Green Note, CamdenThe trio are excited to bring their three part harmonies back to the Green Note this coming March, to celebrate the release of their new 7 track EP - 'Signs in the Rush of Light'.
With a sound reminiscent of soft-rock bands of the 60s & 70s, Motel Sundown draw listeners with their blend of heartfelt lyrics over luscious three part harmonies.
The three friends began writing together in 2018 after discovering mutual influences, releasing their debut album If You Were Listening in 2022 following a trio of singles. Labelled “a band to watch in 2024 and beyond” (Fatea) the Liverpool based band have since supported The Hanging Stars, Ashley Campbell, The Chapin Sisters and more recently, US Grammy nominated artist Courtney Marie Andrews, with two UK tours under their belt.
2024 proved their busiest year yet following the release of their debut EP El Dorado in June, (“vividly nostalgic songs that envelop and intrigue you” - Boot Music) and sold out shows at the Music Room, Liverpool and Green Note, Camden. Gaining momentum, the trio made their second appearance at Black Deer Festival in the Summer, before sharing a line-up with The Jacksons at Liverpool Pier Head, closing the year with a 9-date UK and Ireland tour selling out venues in Wales, Ireland and Liverpool.
A majority of 2025 has seen them flourish in the studio, with releases from their next EP scheduled into next Spring, following singles, Echoes, Colours in the Rain, and What Do I Know.
With a special support set from their friend, Caolan McCarthy.
Caolan McCarthy is an Irish artist who has made a name for himself in both music and acting. He is a Grammy-nominated musician, musical director and coach. A classically trained actor (graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), his career has seen him star in theatre productions in the West End, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. Caolan has acted in over 30 radio plays with BBC Radio Drama and his screen credits include films such as Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar-nominated film, “Belfast”.
In 2023, Caolan released his long-awaited debut EP, Paper and Stone - six tracks of original music showcasing his talent as a singer-songwriter, vocalist and pianist. Each song reflects a different aspect of Caolan’s musical influences from stomping pop-rock ballads like “Selma McGlone” to introspective and melancholic country ballads like “The Day” and growling, Blues Rock belters like “Three Men Were Walking”. This year, after a busy acting schedule, he is releasing 2 brand new tracks of hotly anticipated originals.
Noted for his infectious Irish wit, artful storytelling and timeless, catchy hooks, Caolan has an unquestionable ability to develop a deep connection with his audience every night.
