Join Montana Discovery Foundation and Andrea Pipp with the Montana Natural Heritage Program for two days of learning about mosses & lichens. Course registrants are eligible for 8 Master Naturalist continuing education credits and teachers/instructors are eligible for 8 OPI professional development units.
Day 1 - September 26
Location: Carroll College Science Labs
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Lab Session
Spend a day in the lab learning about the intricacies of mosses and lichens through guided instruction and individual exploration.
Day 2 - September 27
Location: Skidway Campground, Deep Creek Rd outside of Townsend
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Field Session
Apply the skills introduced in the lab to field identification and observations by joining us for a short hike to discover mosses and lichens in the wild!
$52 per person for both days
