Ready to take your mountain walking to another level? Join Tony and me in Morocco for five days in the Atlas Mountains, tackling three spectacular high-altitude peaks, including Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa. This is a proper mountain challenge. We'll be travelling and trekking as a small group, supported by an English-speaking mountain guide and local team, with our sights set on three summits above 3,500m.
I'll be joining the trip myself alongside Tony Lowe from Guided Outdoor Adventures, so this isn't an adventure we're simply listing. We're doing it with you.
The challenge
After arriving in Marrakech, we'll travel into the Atlas Mountains and trek from Imlil to the Toubkal refuge at 3,207m.
Over the following days we'll attempt:
• Toubkal, 4,167m
• Toubkal West, 4,030m
• Ras n'Ouankrim, 4,068m
• A final climb to Iguer Nabdellah, 3,885m
The days are long, with around five to eight hours of walking, significant ascent and high-altitude mountain terrain. Some sections are more technical and may involve using your hands and being roped.
This is rated 8/10 strenuous and is not suitable for beginners. You should already be a confident, fit hillwalker and ready for consecutive days in the mountains.
