Through the years, Mormor’s Attic has been one of Swedish Historical Society’s most profitable and consistent fund-raisers. Our team of volunteers collect, price, and resell donated items to our community in an effort to raise money for our well-loved organization. This holiday season we are excited to be back at Julmarknad, Swedish Historical Society's annual winter market, on Saturday, December 5th. With December rapidly approaching, we will have two opportunities to donate your items for one of our biggest sales of the year!
We will only accept clean, undamaged, quality items and would especially love any and all items of Scandinavian heritage, vintage or antique items, holiday related items, and anything art related.
We are mainly looking for holiday related items but will also accept the following:
~ Any and all items of Scandinavian heritage – in good shape
~ Unique and interesting items that would make good gifts in the mid-price range
~ Any antique or vintage items
~ Any art-related items (pottery, stained glass, woodworking, sculptures)
~ Nature-related items – bird houses, wood or metal birds, nests, eggs, etc.
~ Old quilts, cloth or lace tablecloths, holiday tablecloths – not torn or stained
~ Colored glass items
~ Named kitchenware – Pyrex, Corning ware, Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, Calphalon, Le Creuset, etc.
We are currently NOT accepting the following donations:
~ Large furniture items
~ Fall, spring, or summer decor
If you bring us any of those items, we will have to decline your donation.
If you have any questions about the drop off process or Mormor's attic you can call us at (815) 963-5559 or email us at [email protected].
