Soundstreams is an artist-led series exploring local creativity, experimentation, and collaboration through sound. Each event is led by a local or regional artist and offers a new entry point into creative practice, from storytelling, folk music, drones, and jazz to visual art, composition, film scoring, technology, and free improvisation.
This month, musician Joshua Cook (Drone Honey) leads us in an evening exploring drones! Together, we'll experiment with sustained sounds, layered textures, and the ways that these musical ideas can evolve through listening and collaboration. We'll explore how drones can create rich and shifting soundscapes through collective improvisation.
Bring an instrument or just yourself, and join us for an evening of creative music-making. No experience is required, and you’re also very welcome to simply come and listen!
