Join LIGHT Health & Wellness on Thursday, December 3, 2026, for More Than Just a Status: A World AIDS Day Community Experience, a FREE community celebration bringing people together to honor lives, share stories, raise awareness, and challenge the stigma surrounding HIV.
World AIDS Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is an opportunity to remember those we have lost, celebrate those living and thriving with HIV, and recognize the families, advocates, healthcare professionals, and community partners who continue to make a difference.
This year is especially meaningful as LIGHT Health & Wellness celebrates 28 Years of Impact! Since 1998, LIGHT has remained committed to serving children, families, and individuals impacted by health and social disparities. As we celebrate our growth, expanded services, and continued commitment to the Baltimore community, we invite you to be part of an experience that reminds us that no diagnosis defines a person's worth, potential, or story.
What to Expect
This is not your typical awareness event! We are creating a welcoming space where education meets celebration, where real conversations happen, and where community comes together.

Celebrating 28 Years of Impact
For 28 years, LIGHT Health & Wellness has worked to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout Baltimore.
Since 1998, LIGHT’s mission is to promote health and wellness and education of children, families and individuals impacted by health and social disparities.
As our organization has grown, so has our commitment to meeting the changing needs of the community. This celebration is an opportunity to reflect on where we started, recognize how far we have come, and look ahead to the work that still needs to be done.
We are proud of our history, grateful for the partnerships that have supported our journey, and excited about the future of LIGHT Health & Wellness.

You do not have to be living with HIV to attend this event.
We welcome people living with HIV, family members, friends, community advocates, healthcare professionals, service providers, organizations, allies, and anyone who believes in the power of community.
HIV awareness is everyone's responsibility, and ending stigma begins with understanding, compassion, and meaningful conversations.
