About this Event
Welcome to “Moose Moot” 2026, our second annual Christian arts gathering in Idaho Falls, ID.
The hope or goal of the Rabbit Room’s “House Moot,” affectionately here called “Moose Moot” is to slow down, share stories and songs, and reflect together on the beauty of God’s kingdom through art and conversation.
So, what is a House Moot, or a Moose Moot, exactly? We’re glad you asked. The Rabbit Room describes a “Moot” as:
“Moot” {müt}
verb “To gather for the purposes of connection, encouragement, sharing of creative work, or edifying tomfoolery.”
noun “An assembly, a conclave, and a mustering of the folk of the Rabbit Room. Ents welcome.”
Our event is patterned after the Rabbit Room’s annual Christian arts conference called “Hutch Moot,” typically held in Nashville, TN. After the challenges of being largely homebound in 2020, the Rabbit Room opened their conference up to households across America and even around the world, called “House Moot.” In 2025 we decided to host a Moot at Moose Ridge Coffee. And, based on our love of moose, we are affectionately calling our gathering “Moose Moot.”
In 2026, our Moot will be hosted at The Falls Church, Idaho Falls, in their event building behind the main church building. Over the course of the event you’ll hear engaging presentations, both live and recorded sessions from the Rabbit Room. You’ll participate in, or at least observe, some liturgical readings of prayers. We’ll share a meal on Saturday evening, and we’ll converse with one another over coffee and refreshments most other times.
We hope you can take some time here with us to slow down, steep in God’s Word, and the worship of Him through our love and appreciation of art, and pour your life into one another as we seek to foster and grow this community around Christian art.
This year, we'll be featuring six live sessions ranging on topics from science, music, art, literature, and receiving feedback as an artist. We'll also feature some of the recorded sessions from Hutchmoot 2026 from the Rabbit Room in Nashville, TN.
