There’s a strange comfort in knowing someone you love is out there somewhere, under the same sky. Moon Panda make music for that kind of feeling - dreamy, intimate and a little otherworldly, with warm grooves, hazy guitars and strange little synth sounds floating somewhere between the 70s and whatever decade we’re heading into. There’s always been a gentle push and pull to their world: drowsy but bright-eyed, nostalgic but never quite looking backwards, soft around the edges while occasionally saying something rather sharp. At its heart, Moon Panda is music about feeling close - to another person, to a place, or to some half-remembered version of yourself.
