The Moon Festival is a traditional mid-autumn celebration of hope and renewal. It’s a time for gatherings, where loved ones share food, enjoy each other’s company, and take part in fun activities and entertainment. Dunedin’s Chinese community welcome you to join them in celebration!
The festivities commence at 1pm in the Toitū Foyer with speeches by community leaders, followed by music and dancing from Dunedin’s talented Chinese community.
Lion dancers will then lead a procession from Toitū to Lan Yuan where we then invite you to join us for complimentary garden entry and moon cake tasting. Spend a spring Sunday afternoon exploring Lan Yuan at your leisure.
From 1pm, Sunday 4 October
Beginning in the Toitū Foyer
