Which tasks should come first on our never-ending to-do lists? How many commitments can we cram into our overfull calendars? Are these even the right questions to be asking ourselves in light of the limited time we have on earth? In our first monthly lunch of 2027, Dr. Holly Holladay will share how Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals — a book that ostensibly teaches us how to make better use of our time — changed the way she organizes every aspect of her life, from the day-to-day choices she makes, the relationships cultivates, and, perhaps most importantly, the ways that she “wastes” time.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Dr. Holly Holladay is an associate professor of media theory and criticism in the Department of Communication, Media, Journalism and Film. In addition to her teaching and research, she serves as a proactive advisor for the college, and is a member of committees across the university and within the media and communication studies discipline. Dr. Holladay earned her PhD in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Missouri. Her most recent publication is the "Parks and Recreation" installment of the TV Milestones series.
