Led this year by local artist and educator Hannah Beam, these make-n-take art classes are an opportunity for children aged 6 through 12 to create their own work of art! This month's classes are on Saturday, October 24. Students will be divided into two groups: Group A (1:00 to 2:30 PM) and Group B (3:00 to 4:30 PM). For Hutchinson Art Center members, each group art class costs $8 per child, while it is $9 per child per group art class for Non-members.The theme for October’s project is Whimsical Webs: Spider Line Designs!
Ever wonder what kind of web you would weave if you were a spider? Now's your chance to find out! Explore the art element of line while getting in touch with one of the heroes of fall, the spider! You're probably seeing a lot more spiders around lately, and maybe even walking into a few of their webs! This project involves using different kinds of lines to make creative and whimsical webs and going on the hunt for cool lines to make your very own spider friend.
